Young ASEAN Storyteller

In 2022, the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Centre of Biodiversity (ACB) launched the Young ASEAN Storyteller programme. 20 Storytellers of different backgrounds were chosen from the 10 ASEAN countries. I was one of two Singaporeans included in the list. 

As part of the programme, young ASEAN storytellers were assigned an ASEAN Heritage Park in their home countries to create a story about it. I developed an audio literary trail around Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. During several site visits, I recorded various ambient sounds, noises made from animals and visitors as well as wrote on site to create an immersive site-specific experience that could not only at Sungei Buloh but also in your own homes. On the advice of Nparks, the tracks are not geo-tagged as initially intended.
